Today I took part in the 48th Annual Crown Records Shigin Contest in Mito City. I always love doing these contests. I never win but that's really why I do them.
今日は水戸市で大四十八回の日本クラウン全国吟詠コンクールが行われた。
私はいつも参加するときすーごく楽しい時間過ごせるよ。いつも賞状をもらわないなんだけど、「賞状をもらうために参加する」というのは私の目標ではないからね。
Ever year I go I always learn something new and always meet such wonderful people. You see, for me that is the prize. An opportunity to grow and meet good people is far more important than a pretty piece of paper. But still it's really a wonderful experience.
毎年新しいことを学べるし、本当に素晴らしい人たくさん会えるし。私にはそれ が私の「賞」だよ。私には良い人に会うこと、成長すること、比べたら、こういうことはもっと大事だ思うよ。それでも、本当にすごく良い経験だよ

This is the song I sang.
It's called 「Shyukyo No Saku」it's actually a perfect song for me because the theme is leaving your home country, not knowing if you will ever return. It's a truly lovely piece and if you can feel the song's meaning your voice will reflect that.
今日はこれを歌ったよー「出郷の作」という曲でこの曲のテーマは私に本当に似合うんだよ。なぜかというと、テーマ、簡単に説明したら「母国なら出てまた帰るかどうか分かんない」という意味だ。 本当に素敵な曲だよ
この意味を分かったら「分かる分かる！！」なっちゃった 笑
私には、曲の「意味」または「伝いたいこと」分かったら、
つまり、曲の意味を感じしたら、自分の声で反映する...,かな？☺
